Lisa has been working here for 21 years now and has shown no signs of slowing down. Whether it be the tradition that it harbors, or it be the way it’s grounded so strongly to the community, Lisa loves everything concerning the University of Maine at Farmington. When she’s not working, you can find Lisa advising the campus Catholic youth group and the local Relay for Life club. During her free time she likes to hit the slopes, is an avid reader and PokemonGo™ player.

Jami is a 2002 Farmington graduate with a degree in Computer Science. She loves that the school is right smack dab in the middle of Farmington, really giving it that community vibe. Jami has two children, loves going to games and events on campus, is a passionate reader and live music lover.

Eileen believes faculty commitment to student success makes Farmington an easy place to develop as a learner and a problem solver. Eileen lives on a lake so naturally she is very outdoorsy. She loves to golf, hike, kayak and is a sports fan as well! She loves all Farmington sports on campus but as far as other teams go, she has a sweet spot for Stanford Women’s basketball.

Jon Hayes ’97 | Assistant Director of Admissions
Jon is the primary athletic liaison here at Farmington. Athletic recruits will see him a good bit. He transferred to Farmington from Bates College and earned a degree in History. He went on to complete a masters in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University. After an 18 year career as a college coach, he is excited to return to his hometown and alma mater. He enjoys watching the UMF athletic teams compete and spending time in the outdoors with his family and friends.

Ryan Mastrangelo | Assistant Director of Admissions
Ryan attended the University of Florida and New York University, earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science and her master’s degree in European Policy & Politics. Ryan recruits students (domestic & international), reviews applications, and plans campus events. In her spare time she loves to explore new places and eat new foods. Ryan sees UMF as a forward thinking and accepting public institution. She sees helping students find their way to Farmington to be most rewarding.

Michael Angelides ’12 | Transfer Counselor / Alumni-in-Admissions
Michael transferred from uConn to Farmington where he would graduate with a degree in English Lit. He is a nature baby who you’ll always catch doing something outside with his three dogs, Gracey, Posse and Kangaroo. Skiing, paddling and off-roading are only a few of his hobbies. He enjoys being part of a supportive, humble, and intellectually stimulating community here in Farmington.

Kerry Kowalczyk ’08 | Admissions Counselor
Kerry graduated from Farmington in 2008 with a degree in Biology. When she was a student, she was heavily involved with athletics at UMF. She was a soccer and softball player and was a huge fan of intramural sports at the fitness and Fitness and Rec Center. Kerry’s one piece of advice to those who are approaching college is “It’s okay to change your major or change your roommate. This is the time to step out of your boundaries.”

Joseph Toner | Admissions & Financial Aid Counselor
Joe graduated from University of Maine Orono, class of 2009 with a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, building on his love for the outdoors. Joe is a unique employee, working both in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Joe’s position within Admissions deals with recruiting, prospective student outreach and mentorship. In Financial Aid, Joe counsels prospective and incoming students. He regulars the Fitness and Recreation Center, is an avid outdoorsman, golfer, and enjoys attending campus sporting events.

Chris Yardley | Admissions Counselor
Chris has been working in Farmington for just over 28 years. He is a Psych graduate from University of South Florida and has his Masters in Counselor Education. Chris is musically inclined and used to be a star basketball player in his hay day. Music and water sports are his current choice to pass the time outside of work. His favorite sport to watch is the club Hockey team on campus. His favorite aspect of campus is by far its community and culture, one that he loves to be a part of.
