By participating in AP, you may earn college credit which can go toward our General Education (core) and Major requirements. In doing so, you may also significantly lower your college costs. Win-win.

Many students come to the University of Maine at Farmington having taken Advanced Placement (AP) courses in high school, having scored well on the AP exam, or having taken college courses while finishing high school.

To be considered for college credit at Farmington, entering students must have completed a college-level AP exam. Scores of three or higher earn students credit at UMF, depending on the subject matter area.
