We’re convinced the best way for school students to get a real sense of what college is about is to make a real-live, in-person visit. The University of Maine at Farmington welcomes school group visits. We can’t wait to meet your students.
With just a little bit of pre-planning we can accommodate your school group and provide your students with a fun, meaningful campus visit.
We offer School Group Visits most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00am (preferred) or in the afternoon, through May.
School groups have visited the University of Maine at Farmington for years. And many teachers and high schoolers have told us that the UMF visit marked the very first time some school students had ever stepped foot on a college campus. So we commend you for exploring this option with us.
Want a School Group Visit with a specific academic focus? We can do that.
Have a group of students interested in Business? Teaching? The Sciences? Creative Writing? Let us know in advance and we’ll make every effort to arrange for a UMF professor in that academic area to come meet with your students. Please indicate this on the School Group Visit Form, below.
Want to do lunch at UMF? We can do that, too.
How nice would it be for your students to enjoy lunch in a college dining hall, mingling with real-live college students? If you’re interested in the lunch option, please indicate it on the School Group Visit Form, below.
We’ll make make the specific arrangements once you receive confirmation of the date and time for your group visit.
Have questions? Please contact us.
