10:00am MORE
Cost: Donations!!
Audience: Open to the public

Hey everyone! My name is Mike Colella and I am organizing this amazing event to support and do my part for the ADA to stop diabetes. Being a Type 1 Diabetic, I understand the complications that can arise, the barriers one faces living with the disease, and give my undying support to help everyone living with the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. At this particular event, you can learn about nutrition, physical activity, diabetes management, and a bunch more! Come join us Saturday October 11th from 10am to 4 pm. We will have food, face painting for kids, live music, activities, and at 2:30 we will begin the walk through downtown Farmington. Here we remember and walk for those who have passed, living with diabetes, and support our continuing efforts to stop diabetes. Please help us by either donating to a team/individual or by joining a team and helping us reach our event goal of $2600. By making a donation or joining our walk, together we take a stand against diabetes, and help the American Diabetes Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure. We are united in our desire to Stop Diabetes, and we are asking for your support. When we all work together, the power we have as a group far outweighs what any of us could do alone. Thank you in advance for your time and contribution and we look forward to see you at the first ever, Walk n' Talk! -See more at main.diabetes.org/goto/walkntalk
