Joelle Morris, mezzo soprano, and Bridget Convey, pianist. Music by Francis Poulenc, Darius Milhaud, Arthur Honegger, Eric Satie, Olivier Messiaen. Joelle Morris is a highly versatile performer with a sure footing in both classical and popular music. Recognized for her warm mezzo voice and her ability to sparkle on stage, she is admired for her versatility, from the concert stage to the operatic arena, in intimate jazz settings and French cabaret. Pianist Bridget Convey has found much fulfillment in collaborating with living composers. She can be heard on Navona, Cuneiform, Independent and Nataraja labels.

Workshop led by Andrea Rose, assistant curator Bowdoin Museum of Ar, on using surrealist techniques: automatic drawing, automatic writing, making poems out of newspaper headlines, textured rubbings. We will provide things like bits of cut-up newspaper and textured things to rub (but feel free to bring some stuff like that too). We do recommend that participants bring paper/notebooks and pens. Come to workshop to create yoru own personalized printed merchandise with printmaking artist Shawn Brewer. He conceived the idea of putting the fast in printmaking by creating ready-to-order imagery that was convenient, personalized, and could be printed and made on the spot. He is currently a program staff at The Art Department, an alternative art space in Portland, Maine engaging individuals with developmental disabilities working in film, animation, and visual arts. Workshop runs from 11am - 2pm. Participants can purchase a t-shirt at $5 or bring their own merchandise to be printed.
