CANCELLED - Liz Phillips, The Resonance of Weather
October 31, 2012 - 11:45am
The sounds that Liz Phillips produces in her work originate from a myriad of sources: Sensors, grounding fields, radiating fields, transducers, interfaces, sub-audio frequencies, and homemade loudspeakers such as a bowl or a vase. In her talk, The Resonance of Weather, Phillips will encourage us to consider the three-dimensional form of sound--something as flexible and elastic in time-space as a tree in the wind. UMF Emery Community Arts Center. FREE. Open to the public. Sponsored by University Forum.
