Exploring Bollywood Kickoff Event

"Mother India" film with Libra Professor Sudip Mazumdar lecture and discussion. The Bollywood series will explore the incredible rise and popularity of this singularly Indian cinematic form which features lively dance and song, charting the growth and change in Bollywood from 1957 to the present and examining how it has played a role in India's current economic and cultural flowering. Bollywood is the term used for the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay. Bollywood is the largest film producer in India and one of the largest centers of film production in the world. All films have English subtitles. UMF Emery Community Arts Center. FREE.
