Bachelor of Arts: Interdisciplinary Studies, concentration in Business Psychology
UMF’s interdisciplinary Business Psychology program combines the teaching of psychological dynamics and business practices, allowing students to become effective and savvy businesspersons in today’s global economy.
By studying business, students gain administrative and management skills that can be applied in for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Meanwhile, psychology teaches students the intellectual and personal skills necessary to understand human behavior and the human mind. Business Psychology majors learn the best of both disciplines and prepare themselves to make an impact by enhancing organizational performance.
Business Psychology students work closely with professors who introduce them to real-world business concepts, including economic theory, accounting, management, marketing, finance, computer application, entrepreneurship and international business. Our faculty — many of whom work as private consultants or are actively engaged in business endeavors — will share their professional perspectives on current business challenges and practices.
Business today has a significant international scope, making it necessary to be prepared in order to interact with people of various cultures and beliefs. UMF encourages you to utilize the resources that we provide to students to participate in an international exchange program.
Business Psychology is an ideal program for students who aspire to work in professional business fields. Whether you’re interested in starting your own business, beginning a career in a large corporation, or pursuing a graduate degree, this concentration will prepare you to reach your future goals.
