Denise Boothby

Denise is a health educator, a nurse, a lover of all things food and wellness, a mother of 4 and a farmer’s wife. She has been a nurse in west central Maine for 20 years and enjoys working at UMF’s health center as a way of complementing and informing her teaching. Denise loves being in the classroom and presenting new material and using lots of hands-on experiences particularly around local foods. In addition to teaching, she loves the advising process and watching each student take their education in community health, find an area of passion and put it to work in ways that are most meaningful to the student and the community they serve.
