Molly Wilkie became the UMF Head coach of Women’s Soccer in 2008. She also coached the UMF Women’s Lacrosse program through the 2015 season and qualified for the North Atlantic Conference postseason seven times.

She was named the North Atlantic Conference Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 2010, after leading the UMF Beavers to a 6-1-0 conference record. Under her helm, UMF Women’s Soccer athletes have captured 33 All-NAC awards and UMF junior Kayla Tuttle was named an NSCAA All-New England Region selection. The 2012 squad posted a double-digit win total for the first time since 2007, and advanced to the NAC Tournament semifinals for the fourth time in five seasons. In 2013, Wilkie coached the NAC women’s soccer player of the year, Kayla Tuttle.

From 2013-2019, Willkie’s teams have compiled a 35-21-4 record during conference games. She led the 2018 team to a 5-2 Conference record and won the NAC Championship. The following year, her team finished with a 5-2-1 conference record and were the 2019 NAC runners-up.

Wilkie is a former Women’s Soccer player at UMF and played for the Beavers in 2004 and 2005. A starter in the backfield, Wilkie appeared in 40 games over two seasons with three goals and three assists. A leader on and off the field, Wilkie was captain of the 2005 team and named to the All-North Atlantic Conference Second and the NAC All-Tournament Team.

Wilkie transferred to UMF from the University of Southern Maine where she was an All-Little East Conference First Team and All-New England First Team choice in 2000 and All-LEC Second Team in 2001.
