Stephanie is currently a Ph.D. Higher Education student and the lead instructor for School Health, guiding students who want to teach in Maine schools to earn a K-12 certification. The coordination of school health requires an alignment with Secondary Education, the Director of Student Teaching, and the student teaching Supervisors. She is committed to primary prevention and has 25 years of teaching/designing professional development for practicing teachers and school health coordinators. Her primary responsibility is providing pre-service knowledge and skills necessary to teach in the 21st century classroom. She is a longstanding member of the state planning committee for Comprehensive School Health Education. In addition, she teaches 2 graduate courses in the summer for Educational Outreach – SHE 530: Foundations of School Health is online and SHE 533 is a Summer Institute with an extended deadline for the summative assessments.
