Academics are only a part of the college experience — finding friends, growing as an individual and being part of a community is all part of your journey and we’re here to support you every step along the way. We highly encourage you to participate fully in our Orientation and Transition Programs.
Here at the University of Maine at Farmington, Orientation is more than just a weekend. It’s a process that begins when you’re accepted to UMF and supports you through the transition to college. It’s a time to connect with people, find resources on campus, and have some fun.
All students joining the UMF community have individual needs; therefore, our Orientation will have information specific to those who are transferring to UMF or attending college for the first time. UMF Orientation & Transition Programs include virtual sessions prior to arrival, Orientation Weekend, and extended programming throughout the first few weeks of class.
We encourage you to join us for this spring for Accepted Student Days, later on for Summer Experience, and our Fall 2023 Pre-Arrival Orientation Virtual Events and lastly, for our Fall 2023 Orientation.
