As of April 5, 2021 the FRC pool is now open. Below are the restrictions, requirements, and guidelines in place for pool use during the COVID pandemic.

Reservations are required, at no cost (must have a current FRC membership).

Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance by visiting or calling the FRC front desk at 207-778-7495. Please connect immediately if attendance is not possible.

Walk-in/same day reservations are permitted. Limit to one reservation per person per day.

Reservation blocks allow for up to 40 minutes in water, followed by a maximum of 10 minutes to shower and transition off the pool deck.

There are 5 lanes available for reservation. Use is limited to 1 swimmer per lane with the exception of those living in the same household when 2 swimmers per lane is permitted.

Lanes:

Access from shallow end:

  • Lane 1 (closest to track): ladder access 
  • Lane 3: ramp accessible, double wide
  • Lane 5 (closest to exterior doors): pool lift accessible, ladder access

Access from deep end (slide entry only, no diving):

  • Lane 2
  • Lane 4

Mondays: 6:30a, 7:30a, 8:30a, 12:00p, 4:30p, 5:30p, 6:30p
Tuesdays: 6:30a, 7:30a, 8:30a, 11:00a, 12:00p,
Wednesdays: 6:30a, 7:30a, 8:30a, 12:00p, 4:30p, 5:30p, 6:30p
Thursdays: 11:00a, 12:00p, 4:30p, 5:30p, 6:30p
Fridays: 6:30a, 7:30a, 8:30a, 11:00a, 12:00p
Saturdays: 10:30a, 11:30a, 12:30p

Permitted Activities:

Only low-intensity activities such as lap swimming, water walking and stretching are permitted at this time. Patrons should avoid continuous backstroke and any activities that induce a heavy breathing rate. This includes but not limited to, cardio based water exercise, free/open swim, jumping into the pool, and group games.

Face Covering Policy:

At all times outside of the water, patrons are required to wear a face covering. Face coverings will be kept no more than three feet away from the patron’s place of entry into the water. Patrons are not permitted to socialize with each other or the lifeguard without a face covering. It is recommended that patrons bring at least two face coverings in order to have a backup if one becomes wet.

Arrival to pool:

Please do not arrive prior to your scheduled start time. Early entries will not be permitted. Patrons are expected to arrive and leave in their swim attire. A tote will be provided for personal belongings.

Showers & Restrooms:

Patrons are permitted to shower prior to and after use of the pool. Each shower area will be treated as one shower, only permitting one person to use it at a time with the exception of parents/care-givers who need to assist young children or individuals with disabilities.  Access to the lockesr and restroom area will not be accessible.  No personal items will be permitted in the shower area, including towels, shower gel, or soap. 

Restrooms are located in the front lobby.

Available Equipment:

Kickboards only will be avaible for use.  No snorkels permitted at this time. Patrons are permitted to bring their own pool equipment.

Cleaning and Disinfecting:

We strive to provide a safe and clean environment for you.  The time between reservation blocks is reserved for cleaning and disinfecting of touch point areas, shared equipment and shower areas.

Swim Lessons/Rentals/Water Exercise:

Please visit again in late April for an update. No aquatic programs will be offered at this time.
