The arrival date for all incoming International/NSE Students and Scholars is Monday, January 9, 2023. 

Due to COVID-19 Testing Procedures, no early arrival is allowed. 

Required Arrival Form

Submit your arrival details using the Arrival Form no later than December 30, 2022

You must complete this form, even if you do not require a pickup, and will arrive on your own at the UMF Office of Global Education on Monday, January 11 between 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Pick up will be at the Concord Bus Station in Augusta, Maine at 4:15 p.m. 

  • Request a pick up on Tuesday, January 11 at the Concord Bus Station in Augusta, Maine by completing the Arrival Form
  • Pick-up is available at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11 only.
  • If you arrive in Augusta later than 4:15 p.m., you will have to find your own transportation to UMF. Note: UMF is 1 hour away from Augusta, Maine. Taxi fare costs $75 – $100 U.S. dollars for a trip from Augusta to Farmington. Exchange money in your US arrival airport so that you will have US Dollars with you just in case!
  • Please note that Residence Hall move-in is on Tuesday, January 11 ONLY. Earlier move-in is not allowed.

IMPORTANT: The Augusta Concord Bus Station is no longer staffed and the inside of the terminal is not accessible. Arrival on the 4:10 p.m. bus will ensure you will not be waiting outside in the cold! Do not arrive any earlier than 4:10 p.m..

Arrival at Portland International Jetport (PWM) Portland, Maine:
If you will fly into Portland, Maine, schedule your arrival for no later than 1:00 pm to allow time to collect baggage, take a taxi to the Concord Bus Station and take the 3:15 p.m. bus from Portland to Augusta, Maine, arriving in Augusta at 4:10 p.m.

Arrival at Portland Transportation Center (Concord Coach Lines Bus) Portland, Maine:
If you will take a bus from New York, NY, or Boston, MA to Portland, Maine schedule your arrival to allow time to take a bus to Portland, Maine, with a possible transfer if necessary, continuing on to Augusta, Maine arriving no later than 4:10 p.m.
