Test is unavailable after November 15, 2023.

The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes. (100 of the analogies count; 20 of the analogies are experimental and will not count toward your score.)

Scheduling

MAT Exams are administered Monday-Friday by individual appointment.

Fee: $95 Payment required at time of scheduling by debit or credit card.

Cancellation policy

$95 fee is non-refundable, but we will reschedule your test with no additional cost.

Check-in Policies

Report at least 15 minutes prior to exam time with two forms of identification, one of which must bear a picture. No cell phones, electronic devices or food/drink allowed in the testing rooms. We have lockers with keys.

Before taking the MAT, determine whether or not the graduate schools to which you are applying accept submission of the Miller Analogies Test in lieu of the Graduate Record Exam General Test (GRE). Many master’s level graduate programs in counseling, education, social work and the helping professions will accept the MAT in lieu of the GRE General Test.


Directions to UMF Testing Services, Franklin Hall

UMF’s Franklin Hall is located at 252 Maine Street, Farmington, the tall white building at the corner of South Street and Main Street. Testing Services is located on the 3rd floor and is elevator accessible.

Parking

Park in Lot 17 to the left of Franklin Hall. Please park in spots that are designated for Testing. On-street parking is also available but limited.
