Bio

Misty Krueger teaches literature, writing, and editing courses. She specializes in 18th-century women writers and Jane Austen, and is the editor of Transatlantic Women Travelers, 1688-1843. She is working on a book-length project on Jane Austen and monsters, and she has published many essays on Austen’s writings and fandom, in addition to pieces on Shakespearean adaptation, Restoration and 18th-century drama, Romantic literature, and pedagogy. She self-published a cancer memoir called The Rollercoaster: A Breast Cancer Story. She is also the faculty sponsor for UMF’s chapter of The English Honor Society. In her spare time, she enjoys playing games of all kinds, listening to audiobooks, and enjoying all that Maine has to offer.
