Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities at Farmington offer you a unique, inclusive, residential experience with the added benefit of living among peers who share similar goals and interests. As an active member of a Living Learning Community, you’ll get an opportunity to build partnerships with other students and staff while engaging in purposeful, interactive programs and events. You’ll develop a sense of belonging while you share and deepen your passion.

UMF Student Housing has three different Living Learning Communities:

  • Experience the Outdoors Living Learning Community (Stone Hall 1st floor)
  • Leadership Living Learning Community (Mallett Hall 3rd floor)
  • Service Impact Living Learning Community (Mallett Hall 3rd floor)

Themed Communities

Themed Communities allow students to live among others who share a similar personal or academic interest or passion. Theme communities offer residents new learning opportunities through social and educational programming around a theme. A Themed Community may encompass a floor or an entire hall and focuses on a shared interest or common experience.

  • Diversity themed community (Scott Hall – South 3rd floor)
  • Education themed community (Scott Hall – South 3rd floor)
  • Education themed community (Purington Hall)
  • Scholars themed community (Mallett Hall 2nd floor)
  • Substance-Free Living themed community (Stone Hall 3rd floor)
  • All-Female community (Scott Hall – South 1st & 2nd floor)
