Our Personalized In-Person Campus Visits & Tours are held on weekdays year-round.

Our In-Person Visits & Tours are by appointment only. Click the button below for details and to make an appointment.

We also offer 4pm campus tours on Mondays and Wednesdays for those who’ve been Accepted to UMF.

We can’t wait to meet you in person and give you a personalized tour around campus.

Of course, you’re always welcome to stroll our open campus whenever you like. Just know that some of our buildings may be closed after-hours and need key-card access to get in.


Summer Visit Day — Fri, July 21

9:30am to 2:30pm

This day is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors who are exploring their college options.

Join us for the day which will include:

  • Participate sessions about campus life, student clubs & organizations and athletics and more
  • Learn about the application process and financial aid
  • Take a student-guided tour the campus

Lunch is provided and there will be games, trivia, and music.

Come to our Teacher Education-focused Open House — a day designed to provide you with hands-on experiences that showcase why UMF Education graduates are so highly sought in the job market.

  • Discover what it’s like to live on campus and in Farmington
  • Find out what it’s like to be a varsity athlete, how to get involved in student clubs & organizations and more

You’ll enjoy a free lunch in our dining hall, and take a campus tour with our Student Ambassadors and have the opportunity to check out the surrounding area.

Saturday Visit Days – Fall Semester

Starting at 11am at the UMF Admissions Office

Can’t visit UMF it on a weekday? Come visit us on a Saturday during the Fall Semester.

  • Take a student-guided personalized campus tour led by an Admisisons Ambassador
  • Meet with an Admissions Counselor and ask questions & get answers
  • Check out some campus events taking place that day: maybe varsity sports, club sports, art exhibits, and more*

*Note: The Dec 2 Visit starts at Noon, due to the Chester Greenwood Day parade and celebration.
Who’s Chester Greenwood? Why, a Farmington native and the inventor of the earmuff! It’s a big deal celebration in downtown Farmington, a short walk from campus. Come early and check out the earmuff-themed parade!

We are also participating in a number of College Fairs and Visits to High Schools. These include NACAC College Fairs, NEACAC College Fairs, Big Future Day Fairs, the UMaine System’s own On Track for College – Maine Fair. Plus a slew of visits to high schools in Maine and many other states.
