Bio

Dr. Gallagher’s international background has influenced her perspective on teaching and learning. Having taught in five countries outside of the USA has afforded her opportunities to learn about cross-cultural similarities and differences in educational systems, teaching, and learning. Her research is on the best ways to support emergent bilingual students in the elementary mathematics classroom and to support their teachers in meeting their needs.
