Constitution day at UMF

Closeup of UMF Merrill Hall architectureThis September students and staff at UMF are celebrating Constitution Day, according to Emily Tadlock at WABI5. The federal holiday was revised not only to recognize those who have become U.S. citizens, but also the ratification of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Professors at UMF believe that it is significant for students to know the history and importance of the U.S. Constitution. WABI spoke to UMF Professor Allison Hepler who believes the event can, “serve as an opportunity for us to see how far we’ve come, but also we’re still connected to our founding values.” This will be the 12th annual celebration at UMF.
