UMF Earth Week
Since 1970, April 22nd has been a day of celebrating the Earth, the environment, and sustainability. The recognition of this holiday focused the country’s attention on our planet and our impact on the environment. For decades, UMF has celebrated Earth Day. But by 2014, the SCC decided that one day of celebration just wasn’t enough. Consequently, Earth Week was born. A week of celebration and dedication to our planet, Earth Week includes a wide range of activities, from community clean-ups to caring for plants on campus, and most recently a fashion show that used recycled materials.
