Two Math Options: Applied Track and Pure Track
To better prepare you for the workforce and meet your specific interests, the Mathematics program at UMF offers two different options: a Pure Track and an Applied Track.
The Applied Track includes courses that are more application focused and includes a concentration in a non-math field of your choosing (in consultation with your academic advisor) such as Computer Science, Physics, or Business.
The Pure Track focuses on courses that are more theoretical in nature.
The Mathematics major conforms to the guidelines of the Mathematical Association of America, the largest professional society in the world with a focus on undergraduate mathematics.Got questions? Ask a professor in this program
