Our two main student employment opportunities programs at UMF are the Federal Work-Study Program and the UMF Student Work Initiative Program.

The Federal Work-Study Program is awarded to students based on financial need, as determined by information submitted on the FAFSA. Our UMF Student Work Initiative Program is a campus program for students who were not awarded Federal Work-Study but still wish to work. See more about these two programs

Some jobs are on-campus, some are off-campus. Some require heavy lifting (campus Fitness & Recreation Center). Some require heavy thinking (environmental research or tutoring). Some involve high creativity (web design or photography). Some high patience (working with children). But no matter what job you take, you’ll gain valuable resume-building experience that will pay off now and pay off later on.
