Transferring to a new college is a highly individualized process, and sometimes confusing. We have two special Transfer Guides to help you through the process.
Change is good. You’ve done another school and you have the courage and conviction to know you want something different. That’s gutsy. Bold. Decisive. And we like it.
But change can sometimes be scary or confusing. That’s where these two pros come in. We have two transfer specialists to help guide you through the process. Think of them as your personal Transfer Tour Guides.
We encourage you to contact them directly — going straight to the source. They truly want to help you transfer here.
Meet your Transfer Guides
Joe is your primary contact for all things Transfer. Because he transferred to the University of Maine at Farmington himself, Joe knows the UMF transfer terrain first-hand.
He can guide you through the process, answer your important questions, and also tell you how easy it is to transfer to Farmington and what it was like to go to school here: academics, extracurriculars, clubs and organizations, living in the Farmington area and more. Joe works at UMF year-round and is ready to help you on this next step of your academic journey.
Joe is our Assistant Director of Financial Aid. He can help guide you through the financial aid portion of transferring to Farmington.
A lifelong Mainer (a Lawrence H.S. and UMaine grad) Joe has worked in both our Financial Aid Office and in our Admissions Office, giving him a unique insider’s perspective of those key campus departments. Joe really knows his stuff in both areas.
