Clubs
UMF Cheerleading Club is a co-ed club sport that is open to any athlete who is interested in representing the University of Maine at Farmington in local and regional events. Events include but are not limited to, UMF basketball games, collegiate & all-star competitions, in state showcases, fundraisers, and other excursions. The season generally runs from late September until mid-March and practices are held several nights throughout the week. The club welcomes all levels of ability and looks for members who are dedicated, motivated and have a passion for growing as an athlete as well as a member of the community. If you are looking for an experience that will broaden your skill set and strengthen your presence within the community, UMF Cheer Team may be the best fit for you!

The goal of the UMF Dance Team is to promote school spirit and showcase the art of dance while working as a collective team! The team performs at the halftime of multiple sporting events throughout the school year, fundraises and hosts events, and aims to perform at a Boston Celtics game in the Spring semester. The Dance Team is a great club sport to join as you get to explore the art of dance whether that be continuing your passion for it or discovering a new love for dance while providing a supportive and encouraging environment. No prior dance training or experience is required.

The swim club is a place for swimmers of all abilitites, from recreational summer swimmers to year-round competitive swimmers. Practice comes with an educational aspect to help each person grow as a swimmer. Swim club meets at the FRC pool and meets Mon & Fri 5-6 pm Tue & Thurs 4-5 pm and Wed. & Fri 11a-12p.

Ultimate frisbee is a self-refereed, mixed-gender sport with the goal of playing competitively throughout the year. The clubs is a close-knit team that participates in a variety of tournaments throughout the year, both in Maine and around New England. Practices are typically held between 3:30-5:30 at Prescott on the field closest to the Sandy River. Experience is not needed to participate.
