We offer Accepted Student Days in two flavors: In-Person on the Farmington campus during the day and online via Zoom in the evening. Come to as many as you like.
Each type of session will give you different perspectives, different connections, and different opportunities to make the most informed college decision possible. We think you’ll like what you see and hear about the University of Maine at Farmington and invite you to keep the UMF conversation going.
In-Person Accepted Student Events:
Our Accepted Student Days are purposely built small, highly individualized, and designed to give you a chance to make personal connections with UMF people: current students, professors, key staff members, coaches, and student representatives from different campus clubs & organizations.
You’ll also meet other future UMF-ers. You’ll leave with names, email addresses, cell #s. You’ll make new friends and maybe even meet your future college roommate.
A Parallel Track Just for Families
We understand the important role families play in the college decision process, so our In-Personal Accepted Student Days include a parallel program just for families and guests (away from their student’s watchful eyes).
Families and guests have the opportunity to ask us questions: financial aid, safety, campus employment, housing arrangements, study abroad, move-in dates, internships, scholarships, health and counseling services, tutoring — anything. We want families to feel comfortable with the process and to help make a well-informed decision. It’s important to families. It’s important to us.
